Life between the boxes, that's how I could describe our lives for about a month and half now. We are moving to a new place. And as happy as we are about it, I think only crazy people can actually move in the middle of a very cold winter. Yet, when one gets a good opportunity ... ;-)
And so here we are packing our last stuff. Actually it is true that we can find something good in everything (even though I have to admit I do not always see it ...) it's unbelievable how many things one can keep. I'm talking about things that I do not use. Mostly these are things that I have received. I hate clutter. Still I find myself keeping some things that I could use one day ... you know :-P. Move is a great chance to get rid of these. I have either offered some to other people who were happy to get it, either I did through some things away. I like simple. The more stuff one has the less simple it gets.
Apparently it may take some time before we will have internet connection again. When I heard this at first I was - well, not happy. Then I thought to myself: here is another wonderful opportunity for me. I go to the computer only when my son sleeps but it's true that sometimes instead of reading or typing I could do some more yoga or meditation or pray, read etc. which I know would be beneficial to me. And so I'm looking for this internet free time - I will read more, do more yoga, look up at new recipes, meditate ... and I'll tell you whether I really did ... lol. But internet is a great thing and I know I will be glad to be back here again. In the meantime I wish you all love and peace.

These cards make me happy :-)
Mila Marquis.
To my eyes she is a very talented artist.
I so love her cards.
I wish I could draw like that. I imagine what a beautiful and peaceful feeling Mila is feeling when drawing a new card like that.
She makes me smile.
I thought I would share with you.
Maybe it will make you smile too.
Thank you Mila :-)
ps: this is not an advertising, I don't know Mila personally, I simple enjoy her work :-)

Waiting for the spring to come
Freesia flowers.
To me they have the most beautiful scent.
I'm still in a search for a perfume that smells like freesias.
(any suggestions, especially for an organic one are welcome ;-) )
I wanted to post a picture of mine in a vase
But I wait for the shops to start to sell them.
In the meantime I found some interesting infos about these beautiful flowers.
They originate from Africa, of the 14 species, 12 are native to Cape Province,
South Africa, the remaining two to tropical Africa, one species extending
north of the equator to Sudan.
The genus was named in honor of Friedrich Heinrich Theodor Freese, German physician.
Four years ago I bought a beautiful bouquet of freesias. I was smelling them in the shop, on my way home, while putting them in the vase. Within an hour I could hardly breathe, my nose was stuffed and my eyes red. I do have a hay fever. And very scented flowers do that to me. But even this unpleasant episode didn't stop me from loving the beautiful scent. I just don't overdo it anymore :-)
And you? What are your favorite spring flowers?

What are they going to become?
I love wood.
I always feel sorry for the trees that has been cut down though.
What are these trunks going to become?
Furniture?
Or are they going to heat someone up during the long and cold winter days?
Hmmmm.
I'm wandering.
Taking it easy today.

The simple things, for Haiti
I missed Christina's 'simple things' because I was absent from the computer for one week. I was sad I did, especially because it was to help doctors without frontiers in Haiti. So when I read on Se'lah's blog about 'Enchanted Oak' tonight and that I can still write my simple things for Haiti and her family is going so generously offer 2$ for each post I was thrilled. So here goes my list of The simple things, for you Haiti:
Birdies chirping makes my heart sing
as well as my son's laughter
being with the people that I feel a deep connection with
no words are needed
just a deep look inside each other eyes Soul
garden, feeling the soil on my hands
fresh herbs and spices
cheese tomato sauce
reaching my hands up high to the sky
and reaching deep within me
love
peace
the flame of a candle
the cracking wood in a fire
the smell of nature in every season
truthful smile
understanding
the fresh breeze of the air on my cheeks
the coziness of my warm blanket at night
gentle music
and sometimes the big beat :-)
calenders
and pretty postcards
I pray for you Haiti!!!

Piano
My old piano.
I love music.
The most I love music of the nature.
Birdies songs.
Trees.
Water and the wind.
I can play a little.
Not much.
I didn't like to study to play.
I like to play for the pleasure.
