On joys and gratitude

This is a post that I meant to write last week ... oh well, as the saying goes 'better later than never' ;-)

The joys and gratitudes
 - being with my son, playing with him, teaching him, discovering with him ...
- spending time as a family together with my son and dear husband, our jokes :-)
-  new beautiful friendship and her email full of wisdom and love and that we need to believe in
miracles because they do happen ...
- a full box of beautiful yarn that a dear friend wanted to share with me (awww - thank you so much!)
- the most gorgeous birdies songs that wake me up in the wee hours and let me to fall asleep again
- the new gluten free bread that finally came up the way I wanted to ;-)
- the beautiful blueberry bush we planted last year is blooming and is going to have blueberries :-)
- all the beautiful loving carrying people I meet ...

and the list could go on of course ... what are you happy or grateful about? will you share?
you can leave it in your comment, write the very first thing that crosses your mind after reading these lines ... :-)

dear friends, I'm sorry for being late in visiting and replying to mails ... and now I'll be away from blog land (and internet) till mid May due to the next physio therapy check up for our little one ... I hope you are all well, enjoying the spring (or any season that you have), enjoying the simple things ... I'm looking forward 'seeing' you soon ... in the meantime I'm sending lots of LOVE your way ...

Spring joys and new neighbours

Some spring beauties from our garden today ...

we had so much fun blowing the bubbles ...

And the most exiting thing happened probably Saturday afternoon. I was trying to put my son for his nap (notice I'm saying trying - he doesn't want to take his naps anymore ... ) and suddenly I heard the sweet sound of 'baa baa'.

I rushed to the window and I started to yell 'the sheep are back, the sheep are back' (notice the child in me :-) In deed, our neighbors have a loan, a big loan and they keep sheep there. Only once they eat all the grass they send them some other place that they rent and they wait for the grass to grow back. So since we've moved into this house a year and two months ago we've become to know 3 different sheep family. I noticed that they never bring back the same sheep (my husband is very skeptical about that... I don't want to think bad things ...). They always bring a 'momma' sheep with two lambs.

We always get attached to them so much. We find them names. The last one was 'momma sheep', Brownie and Fluffy. I was 'in love' with Brownie. He would come to the fence and just let me to pet him like a dog or a cat would do. When I had to go he would make this funny noise calling me back for more scrubbing :-)

So when I saw the truck and heard the sheep I was hoping that Brownie may be back but it's different sheep. Well ... a bit disappointed but here goes another lesson about detachment ...My son asked me whether the other ones have died since they didn't come back ... awww ...

I'm already loving the new ones as well :-) Momma sheep got already a name 'Rosy' and for the babies we will wait a bit more. Contrary to the other ones, these sheep are not afraid as much and so fast they came for the bread. They still don't want to be touched but of course we have to understand that they need to settle down :-)

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. If I find some more time next week I'll post about how I lost my sense of taste so that cheese and chocolate tasted the same :-) lol.

Wishing everyone a happy peaceful week ahead. Sending love your way ...

Our days ...

The colors of the spring ... a bliss to the eye and the soul

Mr. T got happy with his 'new shoe' ... :-)

And because we are sick and still have to stay back home
to give our bodies the necessary rest
there was more time for some spring-ish sewing :-)
How are you my friends? Sending much love your way ...

Magnolia

"Every decision I make is a choice
between a grievance and a miracle.
I relinquish all regrets, grievances and resentments
and I chose the miracle."

(from The Soul of Healing Meditation by Deepak Chopra)

Hello friends!
so here is the promised picture of our neighbour's magnolia. We are lucky to have them as neighbours aren't we? ;-)
Today I'm so grateful for: my son stopped vomiting, my son being without temperature - feeling better and asking for food and to go out :-)
Grateful for my legs that stopped to be wobbly (hopefully the sore throat will stop one day too ;-)
Grateful for that even I hardly slept for 5 nights I was still able to function and not only that but I was still able to enjoy the days (and to sew my little one a new pants :-))

The house is a mess. I mean MESS. Five days and the laundry is not full but overloaded, the dishes are all over, my hair and our dog's hair are in a strange clots here and there ... oh well, I know what I will be doing tomorrow :-)

With all of that there was not really much time for visiting with you my friends, I hope you will understand. I'll come over to your place soon!!! I love you all!!!!

Have a wonderful weekend :-) sending love your way ...

Cat on a roof, temperature and magnolia bloom

This cat made me feel like a child Saturday night. I saw her on the chimney and I run to pick up my camera to take a snap. The cat looked so worry free, so careless, so playful and looking at her I felt the same way. At least for that moment :-)

Praying for my son's temperature to go away completely. He has one of these 'spring' bugs as I call it.
I know that children have to build their immunity but it's always a worry when our little ones are sick, isn't it?

But the nature, it's blooming here. Everywhere. Next time I'll share some pictures of our neighbour's magnolia tree. It makes me speechless :-)

How are you friends? May the wind bring joy and laughter your way this week!
